TripodChat ("App") is operated by Tripod Mobile Solutions Inc. ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you install and use our App through the Shopify platform.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use our App, we may collect the following information:

• Store Information: Your Shopify store name, domain, and store owner email address (provided by Shopify during app installation).
• Product Data: We access your product catalog (titles, descriptions, prices, images, availability) via the Shopify API to power the AI chatbot's product recommendations. We do not modify your product data.
• Usage Data: We track the number of chatbot messages processed per store to enforce plan quotas.
• Customer Interactions: Chat messages between your store visitors and the AI chatbot are processed in real-time to generate responses. We do not persistently store individual chat conversations or any personally identifiable information (PII) of your customers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the AI chatbot service on your storefront
• To generate relevant product recommendations for your customers
• To track usage against your subscription plan quota
• To improve our service and fix bugs
• To communicate with you about your account and subscription

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share information with:

• OpenAI: Chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate AI responses. OpenAI processes this data according to their Privacy Policy.
• Shopify: We interact with Shopify's APIs for authentication, billing, and product data access.

4. Data Retention

We retain your store's usage data for the duration of your subscription. When you uninstall the App, your usage data is automatically deleted. Chat conversations are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure API authentication, and access controls to protect your data.

6. GDPR Compliance

We comply with GDPR requirements. We support Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for data access requests, data deletion requests, and shop data erasure. Since we do not store individual customer PII, data subject requests are automatically fulfilled.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your store
• Request deletion of your data (or simply uninstall the App)
• Opt out of any non-essential data processing
